When
establishing your new birds, some points will be
of assistance: |

Do not let
your birds out in the dark, but allow maximum
day light hours for them to find out their new
surroundings. |
|

2. |
Have a regular food point
and feed once or twice a day on a mixture of
wheat and Duck/Poultry Maintenance
Grower/Breeder pellet. Some species i.e.
Mergansers, Goldeneye and Stifftails etc an
addition of Sea Duck floating pellet is
recommended. Birds can be Hopper fed, but will
need to be introduced to the method. |

Predators are the main
cause of death. Ideally your enclosure should be
FOX PROOF. See below for more details on fencing
or enquire for detailed information on the
construction of fences. Rats and Mink need to be
controlled at all times. Worming is recommended
once or twice a year according to your
infestation. |
